Hi all,
Im new to the forum and to building PC's, and I am just looking for a bit of advice please.
I am currently using an Acer i5 laptop and it's dieing a quick death so I am looking to build my self a desktop.
It will be mainly used for music production (I have an external audio interface so I wont be needing a sound card) and photoshop, but would also like to do a bit of gaming and quite fancy learning some 3d modelling.
I have looked at the thread a bit below this (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18630347) and based mine roughly on some of the suggestions, as the OP also wanted his as a music production PC, but instead I have around £1000 for my budget.
Just looking for advice and if the components I have picked will be ok with each other, and also anything I have missed.

Coupla questions:
- Is there anyting else I would need or is it all included? (cables etc)
- Will the stock CPU cooler be ok? (I will not be overclocking it for now, I will upgrade the cooler in the future if I want to get into overclocking)
- Is the Inno3d card ok? As I have not really heard of them before and its the cheapest 970...
- Are seagate HDDs ok? A couple of the reviews of them have said they made grinding noises and went kaput
- I read somewhere that Windows 7 home premium supports up to 16GB RAM, if I wanted any more I would have to go for Pro, is this true? Is it worth splashing out a bit more for Pro?
- and finally at some point in the future I would like to add an SSD to run the OS on, will this be a PITA to set up after I have already set up the mechanical HDD as primary?
2 X new screens and a stand are next months pay check...
I already have a Mad Catz Rat something (5?) mouse and Mad Catz Cyborg? back lit keyboard thing so they will do me for now.
And as mentioned above I already have an external sound interface (PreSonus) and a pair of monitor speakers (KRK Rokits) so have audio covered.
Sorry for all the questions, quite a learning curve with the moving targets that are PC components haha.
Thanks for reading
Nick
