£1000 to spend

So I've been think about what laptop to get for a while, went from mx17r3 to MBP to ultrabook. but I finally know what I would like, just need a little advice.

So I've more or less found my perfect laptop in the form of samsung series 7 laptop, but there no eta and I need a laptop by my next pay check (4th nov). So I really want something similar to that that is out now. I need it to look some what good, more of a slim design. I want it to have some power under the hood as I still play games and run few programs that are quiet demand some a i7 would be great.

I've not seen much in the market that ticks all those boxes so any advice is welcome.

The series 7 is out and OcUK stock the gaming version?

If you want this type of laptop including for gaming along with all the build quality and styling, you will need to up your budget and pay for it.

Its available from ocuk from 28/10/2011 according to the website. Once again its available slightly cheaper elsewhere though if you look.

Nope, its a new stock item. According to Samsungs website only one online retailer has stock at the moment and even then, it appears they don't actually have it yet! Retailers seem to be getting them in from 28th this month onwards.

The laptop I was talking about wasnt the one I saw on OCUK that had the 3d screen.

Its this laptop. Sorry for any confusion, also when I say gaming I'm not expecting like 1080p full spec gaming. Mid/High on some games will be more than enough for me.
