Hey guys,

Im looking for a 1000w psu to power two r9 290's paired with a FX8320 overclocked.

I also want it to be as quiet as possible, i was looking at the corsair RM1000w but with corsair using cheap OEM's now i think i want to look elsewhere, so what do you guys recommend?

110 for a 1000w that's insane.

If you want that same psu rebranded by evga with a 10 year warranty instead of 5, you can find it for 125 if you look around.

I got my RM1000 recently and looking pretty good. Build quality looks like traditional Corsair- if they have downgraded, it doesnt show. In terms of noise, well, there isnt any. I spent a while hearing a fan whirr away and tracked it down to my H100 cooler, changed them out, and its as close to silent as you could want.

As far as things going wrong.. I have 2 corsair items that well belly up, sent off my RMA requests, and a week later had new ones. If that service keeps up, I will be happy. and thats 2 parts out of .. oh, lots.
