100hz max 780gtx

Hi, running triple monitors using the new benq 24"z series. I can get 120 or 144 out of the dual link dvi but only upto 100hz out of the DP cable, also when changing to 100hz it seems to change back to 60 and screws the colours up on the monitors.

any suggestions, its driving me mad!

How long is the DP cable? I found on my XL2420T it was very picky about DP cables and I had to buy a 1.8m reasonable quality cable to get 120Hz - the previous 3m unbranded cable wouldn't go over about 90Hz for some reason (also had another 2.4m one that was by an ok brand and it would randomly timeout at above 100Hz or so).

cable is 3 meters long, unsure what other options i have...

Ok, looks like i might need an active dp to dual dvi cable? Grrrr

hmm, it now works, after about the 15th reboot maybe??

Came online and just suggested i went to 120 or 144hz - i have done nothing with drivers though I see one was released yesterday. Just took some bedding in.

Now happily racing on triples at 120hz


Just for reference this is using the display port cable and port from 780gtx and 2x dual link dvi.
