100mbit network speeds?

I am considering using an old P3 PC as a network storage box. It's only 100mbit and I haven't used 100mbit in aeons. What I was wondering was what likely real world transfer speeds I will get from the HD on this P3 to my other C2D PCs?

I normally see around 90Mbps when saturating a 100Mbps Ethernet link with packet generation software (This is using Cisco hardware).

So around 11MBps optimum throughput presuming your hardware/software is up to it. Roughly a DivX movie per minute.

It would be IDE U66 interface but I'd pop a new 500gb IDE drive in.
