Hi all

So im looking at getting a new GPU, Ive been looking at the 1050Ti 4gb & 1060 3gb, People on a Facebook PC page have been having a debate about these Cards..

a lot more people say buy the 1060 3gb as its still a better card for performance although the 1050Ti has 4gb VRAM thats only good for textures etc

Im sat back watching the constant debate but not knowing what to do.

Any help please

Thank you

i've had a 1050 (non ti) a 1060 3GB and a 1060 6GB.

it totally depends on what games you are playing. because the 1050 could handle CS:GO with everything on max and still hit 200+fps. however pubg it struggled badly. so i got the 1060 3gb and now i could play cs:go on a 1440p 144hz monitor flawlessly but i still had to play pubg on my 1080p monitor. the 1060 6gb was a 10-15% improvement at best for £50-£75 more IMO not worth it.

i would say get the 1060 3GB if you can find it cheap. the bump to the 6gb version isn't noticeable unless you want higher textures but it's so weak it would hit fps if you did that anyway on demanding games so not worth it.

In my experience texture resolution doesn't have any performance hit at all and only requires more vram.
