1050W Black Edition Pro?

A decent 750W will be more than plenty for 970 SLI, no need to go for 1000W+. You'd probably get away with using your HX620 to be honest, 970s don't use a lot of power, but if it's 7 years old that's fair enough.

EVGA have a cracking range of PSUs at the moment. This one, the SuperNova G2 750W is brilliant. Excellent quality, with a huge 10 year warranty.

The XFX unit is very good (Made by Seasonic). Warranty support used to be pretty bad though with XFX. I don't know if it has improved any.

It's a top spec unit with a massive 10 years warranty. It'll run almost everything you throw at it, only thing I'd be concerned by it powering is dual flagship GPUs, i.e. dual 980ti or Fury X.

There's not a lot of point for paying for a lower quality PSU with a higher wattage, when you're unlikely to need the extra wattage.

The XFX does look like a very good deal and good quality also.

If you overclock your system. And get a second card the XFX might be the better choice.

SuperNova G2 750W looks good, but if you were overclocking would that be enough?

Yep I've OC'd my CPU to 4.7Ghz and plan to overclock both 970s

The length of the warranty wasn't what he was getting at. XFX had a reputation for abysmal customer service and left many people with useless components that they just couldn't get repaired/replaced due to XFX either not even replying to them or finding any possible way out of honouring the warranty. Whether that's changed or not now I don't know as I haven't heard of anyone trying to return something to them lately. A 10 year warranty is meaningless if the company won't honour it.

The XFX is a high quality unit, so I am not sure why you think otherwise. For £99 it is a great buy. The only concern would be whether the warranty support has improved.

Yes, it has or I wouldn't stock them. The CS is much better these days. The product is an absolute steal at the price! If you were to ever have an issues with an XFX PSU, I'd want to know also, but rest assured things have improved considerably.

For £99.99 is it a good PSU? This model came out a long time ago, Im curious as to when the ones OCUK stock have been made

I'm thinking of getting a second 970 and my current Corsair HX620 is 7 years old and don't want to risk it.

The product actually had a refresh a few years ago, I was only made aware earlier today that our images are out of date. I have just updated the images and that should filter through within the hour.
