Hi,
Ive tried to overclock a 1055T that i brought today. Default the cpu runs great, 24degrees with a Zalman performa, with an additional fan in a push/pull config in an antec 900 case. Running OCZ reapers 12800mhz C6.

Disabled C1E, Virtualization, C&Q
IGX disabled

CPU Clock Ratio: 14x
CPU NB Freq: 8x
Core Perf Boost: Disabled
CPU Host clock control: Manual
CPU Freq: 250 (3.5ghz)
PCI clock: 100
pcie spread spectrum: disabled
HT link width: auto
ht link frequency: 8x
memory clock: x4
Dram (7-7-7-30)

DRAM Volt: 1.62
CPU Volt control +0.175v (1.45v)

Doesnt boot, it comes up with 'system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking.'

What am i doing wrong? I thought the 1055T could hit 3.5ghz easily and 4ghz was a struggle?

The computer boots at 13.5x300 (3.3ghz) and running Prime95 seems fine, temperatures are around 27, mostly 27 but peak at 29 max

managed to get to 3.6ghz, trying for 4ghz

managed to get to 3.9ghz, but the temperature is maxing at 3.8degrees, both Hardware monitor and amd overdrive show the same thing. TMPIN1 is max 45degrees, TMPIN2 is 52 degrees isnt this a little low? Is something broke? I want to overclock further but i dont want to overheat the cpu.

TMPIN 2 is your CPU temperature, which is 52c.
Also, "You're doing it wrong".
A 1055T can't handle high frequencies with a multiplier of 14, it just simply can't do it.
And max means the maximum it's been upto in that given instance of having the application running.

Set the CPU to 13, bus to 300, CPU NB to 2.7, HT to 2.1, CPU NB Voltage at 1.35v, CPU V core at 1.5.

why not? i was able to prime95 stable for 2 hours with max 55degrees, 14x290 cpu v 1.475, nb 1.3

was going to try lowering cpu v to 1.45 to see if it runs at less v

If 14x290 is your stable limit, then use that, but I have heard of the 1055t not liking high frequencies on a x14 multi before.

Hello Jedipottsy,

would it be possible for you to include CPU-z in your screenies showing the [Memory] tab please? :) . . . you can open multiple copies of CPU-z from the same shortcut . . .

Sure,
Found a setting that i like. Put the computer in the hottest room in the house, put it inside a desk enclosure to make sure temps were at the hottest they would get. Run OCCT 1h and Prime95 2 hours, running at 14*280 for a speed of 3.9Ghz, 1.4v
Temperatures got to a max of 51Degrees, which is fine by me considering it'll go in the coldest room available. Might try with lover vcore though.

Ram is currently running 1:2 at C6, but ive had it at 2:8 C7, which im going to stick with.

tried running at 3.8Ghz with 13.5 and 13 but it would be stable without upping the vcore, which made the temperatures rise.

Heres 3.8Ghz with much lower vcore, 1.325v in Bios, 1.36v in CPU-Z ful load. Max cpu temp 50degrees in a hot cabinet. ran 1h OCCT so far without error, going to try Prime95. If this is stable then this is my 24/7 clock. Might try increasing DRAM speed.
