Is that a picture of it ('52 late model)? Because if so I would say that is a fair price! In fact I would bite their hand off for it for that price :)
 
My mate bought the exact same one this time last year, I mean exactly the same. He paid £3K for it! Totally ripped off, so I reckon you've got a good deal there. You should see my mates now though, totally sported up!
 
No idea on the value, but my my friend's mum bought a brand new one on a W plate. They still have it and it's never let them down - it's only had one oil change too :eek: Nicer trim than the very base models IIRC.
 
Y reg is March 2001 to August 2001.

Whilst a 106 1.1 Independence would be at the bottom of my list of cars - it has windup windows and the only electric thing in it is the start motor and the lights - why pay £2k for a car with seats and a steering wheel - if its the sort of car you are after, £1950 for a decent condition 1.1 106 on a Y plate is great value and this would be a good buy.
