Hello I am looking to get a 1060 6GB and I am a little worried about what brand to get.

I see that there is a KFA2 EXOC model for £260 but this one has no 0 db function and I have never heard of the brand before.

There is also the Palit Jetstream at £270 which I have heard good things about but there RMA is far away correct?

The Zotac 1060 is £280 which I have heard some good things about to but I hear it gets way more hot than the other dual fan cards.

I can also get a MSI 1060 Gaming x for £300 which is pretty much the best 1060 model?

I am wondering if the brand makes any difference at all to quality and how less likely it is for a model to die/artifact over time? I have only had MSI cards for the past 7-8 years and have never had a single issue so you guys think its worth it to spend the extra?

I rarely buy graphics card by brand, but purely price. The difference between them is very little these days. I often by the cheapest version of a card I can find, and I've had approx 200 cards since 1994 of all kind of brands, and none have been particularly better than others.
The main difference is the cooling solutions these day and as for warranty, I don't know how exactly the rules are in the UK, but in Denmark all RMA's are handled through the retailer you bought the card from.

Btw the 0 db function is present on all the cards you mention. The fans kick in when the GPU reaches around 60°c.

I own the Zotac 1060 amp and bought mine over a year ago when it was £250, it's a compact 212mm length card which I bought to put into a coolermaster elite 110.
If you run the Zotac out the box with then the stock fan profile does run quieter with temps hitting 65-75c, of course if you tweak the fan profile, undervolt or cap framerate you can easily drop another 10c and still have acceptable fan noise.
The Zotac 1060 amp uses Samsung memory chips, not sure on others, but As Gripen says there's very little difference in performance between manufacturers, so just get the cheapest really.
I wouldn't even look at a 1060 at £300 when a considerably faster Zotac 1070 mini can be bought for £350.

I will most likely go with the Zotac than, Any idea if it will be on sale again? I'm sure I saw it at £250 last week and now its £270

check warranty and rma location and customer service - retailer should take care of RMA- but if their naff will take long and if its got to be shipped outside UK then longer still

So get the single fan and undervolt it a little. It won't be loud and will still flatten a 1060.

I don't have the cash at the moment either to go that high as I need a new CPU cooler now as well.

I'm thinking of getting the KFA2 1060 EXOC and just wonder if anybody has ever used it? Can't find many reviews on it except a few posts on reddit saying it runs well and cool

Aesthetics > Cost > Brand (warranty ad RMA reasons) > Performance (what little difference there is between brands, 1 or 2 frames MAYBE).

Thats how I buy. I'm going to be looking at it everyday it has to look good and suit my rig first. Then cost. Then Brand. Then performance as they will nearly all perform the same anyway.
