1060 dying

hey folk so a friend has contacted me as his 1060 is displaying this

I think its very close to complete failure and have advised him to sort out an rma or support ticket with the manufacturer, his only problem is it could be out of warranty. any advise on what he could do and if a repair is feasible or worth doing

July 2016 6gb ones were released, pretty sure the min warranty would be 2 years, 3gb ones were released even later. Great mining cards so dicey what you would get rma'ing it, good luck with it

If out if warranty either stick it on eBay and see what you get for it and add that to a new card or it's a long shot but you could try the oven trick. YouTube is your friend for that

It could be the cable or the output on the GPU. Has he tried a different cable and port?
