1060 GTX Recommendation

Hi,

Just bought an HTC Vive and got some OK performances from my base set-up but just updated my CPU and looking to update the GPU as well. Not that knowledgeable about upgrading parts of PC's but I can get by... I think...

Ideally of course if I had the money I would like to get a 1070 but I was wondering what the GTX 1060 is like with VR.

I have 12GB of Ram and an i5 4690k CPU in a Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H Motherboard with a Aerocool Premium Grade 500W PS and my case is a Zalman T4 Micro-ATX Case and was looking at the below card https://www.overclockers.co.uk/zota...ddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-105-zt.html.

How does the Zotac brand fare where it comes to graphics or could someone recommend a similar card around the same price bracket. Not overly fussed if it's Nvidia or Radeon but probably leaning more towards Nvidia's range.

Hate to say it, but you should save up and get the 1070. VR loves GPU horsepower.

What GPU have you currently?

1070 if buying new or a used 980ti. the 1060 wont have the power the run super sampling which is a must have imho.

I used both my 1070 and 1060 with the Vive and both ran very well, however the 1070 definitely has some headroom for supersampling in most games which is very nice to have.

Hmmm...... sigh I'm going to end up buying a 1070 aren't I haha
