Depends if your overclocking to be honest, slower RAM will limit your overclock potential.

EDIT: Just seen your from Wycombe, what part you from?

Booker, might do some OC, always wanted to but never ever sat down and got on with it lol

Ive seen the overclocked bundles that OcUK sell come with pc3-12800 - is this the sweet spot?

For most of the average OCing world, DDR 1600 is an excellent choice. You can get a great OC with it and not be memory speed limited.

1600Mhz is a pretty good spot, for my i7 it only starts overclocking the RAM at 200bclk, can obviously drop the multiplier for it if going further but little point, most RAM will overclock nicely and luckily my RAM was happy going upto 1743mhz on stock volts and timings
