1066 ram in a 800 mobo?

Would i be right in thinking that i will be able to put dual 1066 DDR2 ram in a board that says it supports 667/800 dual channel ram,i only ask as i have seen lots of members sigs on here with higher spec ram on board and no one has mentioned any problems.the board in question is the DFI Lan Party DK P35-T2RS and the ram is Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel ....THANKS. :confused:

As far as I remember the ram would default to DDR800 speed. So in short yes should work.

I recently sold 4GB (4x1) Ballistix Tracer PC8500 to my dad. His motherboard only supports 667Mhz ram and it runs it happily at that speed so should be no problem.
