Hi. Is a 1070gtx good enough for 4k ultra on this. I am not bothered about VR it self just 4k.

I am changing a couple of things too.

Changing the I5 to a I7 and changing Ram from 8GB to 16GB. Prime SSD to 256GB with these changes price comes to £1,290.05p

I don't want to hold back on this new system so is it worth for 4k to change the graphic card to a 1080.

I will be buying a 4k no bigger then 27" if I could. At the moment I have a 1080p 27" monitor and it looks too pixelated so I want a right size too.

I am willing to pay Around £1,500 for PC and around 350 for monitor. Thanks.

Do you need an i7? If you are mainly gaming then you don't IMO. A 1070 isn't great for 4K but it will manage if you turn settings down and are not expecting to hit 60fps all the time.

If you are set on 4K then I would stick to an i5 and go to the GTX 1080.

Personally 4K isn't worth the performance hit, I would and have chosen to game at 1440p 144hz G Sync.

Are you sure about 4K? I went back to 1440p/144Hz for gaming pretty quickly. 1070 is borderline for 4K unless you are prepared to sacrifice a few quality settings.

Thanks.

I am on the edge of buying it next week. I no it not out yet but how big of a jump is normally a new CPU from older version.

Is this still a good price for that PC?. I don't mind paying that price as long as its good and will last with a 1070.

Also I sent an email to oc help to ask what motherboard comes with it and they said its a Asus Z170-E. Is this a good mobo?..

Youll want 1070 sli for 4k ultra really, a single card will run games at med/high settings but no new aaa games will run on ultra. I agree with the others and would suggest a 1440p monitor.

They're just designed to fit under your TV like a games console i would guess, they look like theyre all standard parts so should be upgradeable, but i cant see you ever needing to upgrade it as its got the best CPU available for that motherboard and as much ram as you would need, the only thing you might wanna swap out in a few years would be the GPU but that looks easy enough and as theyre getting more efficient you would have to worry about upgrading power supply.

I've had every card from a 980 ti, 1070 and 1080, none of which are good enough for sustainable 4k moving forward.

The visual fidelity from 1440p to 4k is immense. You need to disable Anti-aliasing and game depending you should get 35-45 fps which is ok with a gsync monitor, however the 60fps is where it's at.

Hopefully the 1080 ti will be released and based on history, this card should be a good 4k card. Titan XP can just about manage 60fps.
