Quick question....
I was in the middle of working on an excel sheet and I went to make a cup of tea.
I returned to find my PC had put the monitor into a sleep state as usual. I moved the mouse and nothing. I assumed the display driver had gone awol so rebooted.
No post beep. No text on screen.
The tried the following:
card in different PCIe slot - no output, GPU fans going round
card in different PC - no output, GPU fans going round
Onboard graphics on original PC with no 1070 - fine
Old 980 GPU in original PCIe slot - fine
Finally got PC to boot using onboard graphics with 1070 plugged in - 1070 shows up in device manager but no output.
I'm thinking RMA the 1070.
But before I do is there anything you guys can think of?
Can I re-flash the bios using onboard GPU with the 1070 merely plugged in ? Is it worth a try ?
