1070 when to buy?

I thought Gibbo said there would be some Xmas deals coming on these cards. Haven't seen anything yet. Or did I miss it?

I put a huge amount of VGA on This Week ONLY yesterday, which ends next Wednesday so check it out.

There won't be any other particular deals except for the 8 Pack bundle which is in the news section and we might be doing the £100 discount of the Vive headet again over XMAS/BOXING Day.

But VGA the prices are as they are, as always keep a look out, there was a crazy error by a competitor a day or two ago on an MSI 1070 at £295, which turns out someone made a boo hoo, LOL.

Had an email from OC/UK today , the Zotac's have come down in price! :)

Yeah I reduced as many VGA lines as I could.

Also our EVGA stocks are now refreshed and all come with the cooling pads or whatever they missed out on earlier batches now included. :)

I wonder if any actually made it out at that price?. Merry Christmas to those who got them :).

I knew that big case and HDD rack would come in handy. One square block of lego fits perfectly

The card seems to perform well out of the box 2037Mhz and 8208Mhz on the memory. I've yet to hear the fans and in most games they are not running.

From the reviews I've read and the comparison benchmarks 1070's are very similar in performance from one card to another and there isn't much difference in price.

My advice would be to just choose one that fits your case in terms of size and aesthetics with the features you want i.e RGB lighting etc. Unless you are looking for a few FPS gains then there really isn't much difference.

I liked the 5 year warranty, guaranteed OC and features of the Zotac card. I can live with having to use a 5p piece of lego to support it although I would not advise fitting one without support, it's a heavy card.

Mine is mounted vertically ( pcie facing down ) so no issues of sag but it really is a fantastic card. I'm taking at 4k and it really performs to an excellent standard. Best card I've owned
