Well, the G1 fun was short lived :D

Ive removed the old AMD drivers. Got the latest Nvidia ones from Nvidia and ran some benckmarks on 3DMark (let me know if you wanna see them).

Now I loaded up CSGO to see how many FPS ill get hoping it would blow away the 200-280 range i was getting before on the same settings. To my surprise Im hitting 180 max while playing. I've got Afterburner open and i can see the clock is sat at 1850~. I check all the settings and i cant find anything that would affect it. I uninstall all drivers except graphics and sound.and re run it and its still the same.

When i stand still however I'm hitting 500 steady which is the cap i have.

I feel like I'm missing something basic and could do with someone making me look stupid... any ideas?

Specs are on my sig.

Because it would make no difference, just silly is all. CSGO would be ran smoothly on a amiga 1200, its crap. But good luck.

I didn't pay £600 for a card to be out performed by a R9 290... I asked for help not someone debating why i want x amount of frames.

Its prob just that outdated game ,compare with games that make the system work, then i'm sure you will see a difference.I said its silly because irl there would be no difference between 180fps and higher.
