So i have a 1080 ti, my native resolution is 3840 x 2160@60hz. I can launch any games or newer applications at native resolution no problem.

Whenever i try to launch a game that launches at 1080p, i get a black screen no signal, i have to alt+ tab out of the screen and then click on the game from the desktop to get it to display. for example crysis 3 after i have clicked back to get it to display , if i go into the resolution in game settings and set it to 3840 x 2160 it will launch perfect no black screen.

applications and games that launch at 720p, gives me a black screen and it flicks between 720p and native resolution every couple of seconds.

any ideas? thanks

Hi mate Its an issue with scaling.

Go to your nvidia control panel then Adjust Desktop size and position, On scaling click full screen that should stretch the resolution to fit the full screen if its lower than native.
