1080p 240hz to 1440p 144hz

Have a 1080ti running a Alienware AW2518HF 25" 240Hz, just got a 2080ti and did not see that much of FPS bump and read that at 1080p you wont seem much improvement. I only really play COD Warzone and FPS's.

Thinking of getting a 27" 1440p monitor and going back to 144hz. Do you think I'll notice dropping back down to 144hz from 240hz even though I'll gain some better eye candy from the 1440p screen.

Budget for the 1440p screen is around £300 for 2nd hand screen.

You can get a brand new LG 27GL850 for around £340 in the current sales if you know where to look so I wouldn't buy used.

Dell S2127DGF is first prize, otherwise the LG 27GL850 is a close second. See what’s in stock, but recent pricing has them around the 350 mark (new).

The Dell does 165Hz.
