1080p Gaming

Hi all,

I am planning my first ever PC build and the current plan is to include 1x MSI 290 GPU. Is this overkill for 1080p gaming baring in mind I want some level of future proofing and I do want to play everything on 1080p with ultra settings?

Nice one. It is quite a hefty price tag but if it avoids an upgrade in a few years it may be worth it. It's going into a an MSI gaming 7 mobo; will there be any msi compatability advantages?

Nope I'd say one 290 is just about right for 1920x1080.
