1080p monitor up to £200 recommend ations please.

Hi I have just sold my old pc to a nice young lad who is just getting in to pc gaming. He does not know much so as asked for monitor advice. I used this pc on a 27" 1440p dell but like I told him the pc was showing its age and If I was him I would drop to 1080 and yo may be able to get better frame reatse compared to the 1440 . Now I might be wrong cos I'm not expert that's why I'm asking you guys..for info pc specs are i7 3770k. Gtx980ti 16 gig ram...cheers

Hmm I'm more of a future proofer myself. If it'll scrape by at 1440 I'd get a 1440 monitor and look to get a new graphics card further down the road instead
