1080P Quantum Dot

Hi,

I'm probably really late to the party but what about these Quantum Dot monitors, do they make a noticeable difference to colour and brightness or is just a gimmicky marketing thing to stick an extra £100 on the price?

I'm trying to decide between a 1080P and 1440P and the 1080P Samsung monitors are the same or very close to a good 1440P screen

Anyone have any experience and can comment? I quite like the look of the Samsung monitors too they are a bit cleaner looking than most

If they are just marketing gimmicks, can anyone recommend a very nice 1080P 144hz display that 27"

Thanks I've read it last night. I didnt explain very well in my op. I was more wondering if Quantum Dot makes a 1080p screen much better than a normal 1080p screen as in does it give 1080p a new lease of life
