Got myself a 1080ti recently

Primary monitor is connected via display port

Secondary display is hdmi to the 4k tv

When I boot I don't see anything on my pc monitor until the windows log in screen. If disconnect the hdmi to the tv it boots fine and shows the post screen.

I don't run them at the same time I simply switch using windows+P if I fancy a bit of couch gaming but not being able to see the post screen is really annoying me.

Anyone know a work around for this. I've tried both hdmi port and Display port combinations but it always looks for hdmi first even when the tv is off.

AFAIK the order is controlled by the graphics card BIOS

Just an idea but....
How about a dp to hdmi adapter
Plug your PC screen into dp1
Plug the adapter into your cards dp2 then your tv into the adapter.
Should boot on your main PC screen then
