hi got a 1080ti this week but upon playing watchdogs 2 and deus ex mankind at 1440p (games are set to ultra settings)

I’m getting stuttering on them

My cpu is a 8700k and 16gb ram

The 1080ti is a ASUS strix

I ddu the drivers from my 1080
 
Try a fresh install of drivers. Failing that when gaming, look at CPU and GPU usage in task manager. You would expect CPU to be low and GPU to be close to 100%. If CPU is spiking could be an issue there.
