1080ti idle temps 55c, wot are ur idle temps??

hi guys

From what I can remember is that when I had my 980ti and 1080 the idle temps were always in their 30s

just browsing the internet nothing else no overclocking no fans spinning

Now my idle temps for my current gpu is 55c even with the fans spinning ever so lightly

is that normal, check your gpu plz and tell me what your idel temps are.

I was using a November driver (can't remember exactly revision) until today that wouldn't downclock my 980ti fully, it would idle at 1050mhz (rather then 135) thus driving idle temps up.

Fixed with a clean install of the latest drivers.

Maybe worth checking your idle clockspeeds.

im using 390.65 so its quite a new driver, there is a newer one out im gonna download that and see wot happens

but ive also checked the clock settings right now and its 1392MHz, is that ok?

Open nvidia control panel and check manage 3d settings,scroll to the bottom and put power management mode to optimal power.

its already on optimal power mode

shall i change it to maximum performance or adaptive?
