Feel dense asking this, but got my new 1080ti recently, slapped under an AIO now and am dabbling with overclocking, (and undervolting/ voltage curve overcloking using afterburner)

I understand the core clock and all those Mhz speeds and the boost principle, but I don't understand the memory clock Mhz speeds. Everywhere I look people are saying my memory is at 6000Mhz+ or whatever - my memory clock is running at 1376Mhz. What gives? Do you multiply the number reported in GPUz/ hardware info or whatever by x4 or x5 or something?

Cheers fellas, that clears that up!

Is it reeeeaaaaly worth overlcloking the memory on the 1080ti? Reason I ask is I've now got it with a kraken g10, corsair h55 AIO set up. Working really well, temps are great but am a bit worried about VRM temps as I've not bothered with adding heatsinks this time to the memory chips etc etc (I did with a previous card in the past, and that didn't end well when I removed them!)

Overclocking the memory will put added stress on the vrm chips, memory chips and temps no??
