Hey ladies and gents! Long time lurker first time poster.

so I bought a new mobo/cpu bundle as well as a 1080ti, from these wonderful gentlemen, I seem to have an issue, where I get CPU/Motherboard video, but the 1080ti wouldn't show a display, the power connectors, were plugged in and was seated in another pci slot and still wouldn't work,

I have no idea if it's bios issue since the boys/ladies have tested it and says it works fine on their bench,

So when I recieve it tommorrow, how can I fix it lads!

I did when I had it.. I guess, there was no option like previous bioses, to disable onboard itself, so I guess the closest I had was changing the boot order from IGP to PEG

Take the card out.....
clean the fingers on the card with a soft wet/dry cloth then plug it back in and use a different dp port then try again.

The card itself is verified working by the guys at Overclockers, so for me personally, I'd imagine it's a bios issue, since they had it working,
when it arrives tommorrow I'll let you know how I get on, and hopefully somebody has some magic to try :D

I had same problem.
Motherboard update to latest firmware still did not make a difference.
So removed cmos battery to reset bios, replaced battery, booted up and card was finally recognized by the motherboard.
Been fine ever since.

Have you removed the cables from the motherboard hdmi slot when you try the GPU?

If so, what's the system spec? Give us something to work with! If it's the spec in your Sig then I wouldn't think you should need a BIOS update.

That is the spec in my sig, so an update, I plugged into the 2nd slot, and it's running at x8, which is better than nothing, which trying before it didn't seem to work, I'm unable to get it working in the first slot, I think it's probably defective, seeing as it works in the slot lower

I haven't used display port or HDMI It has alll been DVI connections, into the back of the card and the mobo!

I'm also running the latest bios, as this shipped with 0504 I think I'm now running 0904, which is the newest bios

Just to confirm, you should only have one cable plugged in at any time.

Have you loaded BIOS default settings?

Do you have another card you can test to see if it is the MoBo at fault?

Yup only one cable DVI, and yes I have! It works in x8 in the slot below the one it should be in,
Also confirmed working with overclockers themselves, as they tested said card
So I'm thinking the first slot is probably donezo

Have you or can you try with an HDMI or DP cable?

I bet OCUK probably used either to test as DVI is not really used much now days.
