1080ti overclock/undervolt/power limit question

Hi

Long story short my card has been doing 1900-1950 ish with a linear +130 overclock and regularly hits power and voltage limits. Sliders for power and voltage maxed. And gets pretty hot.

Decided to have a go at a proper custom curve and have it stable (in tomb raider at least) at 2037 at 1000mv which seems good. Much cooler.

However, I am still regularly seeing the power limit get hit in afterburner. When this happens I clock down to 2000 or occasionally 1974. But whilst I have the power slider at 120%, when power limit = 1 is being hit I’m only at 102-105% power. Does this mean there is more in reserve that I’m not tapping into, somehow?

I am on an aggressive fan curve keeping under 53c, voltage limit isn’t being hit either. It also drops less frequently when I back my memory clock off completely. I’m just unsure why it clicks down when there is supposedly power, temperature and voltage headroom. Sliders for power and voltage remain maxed.

Any ideas?
