Hello everybody, I hope somebody can give me a bit of help please.

A few days ago I bought a Zotac AMP! Extreme GTX 1080Ti from OCUK. The thing is a beast!

The issue I am having is the every few minutes of gameplay I get a random black screen for a second and then it goes back to normal. The screen only turns black for a split second, I can still hear all the audio etc.

I had a GTX 1070 before hand and was using 382.33 drivers and I never had this issue. When I got my new 1080Ti I ran Download Display Driver Uninstaller - "DDU" and then installed the latest drivers which are 382.53 as I type this.

Does anybody know what the issue could be? Is it card or driver related? It's strange because it happens in Unreal Tournament (The new one) and Wolfenstein The new Order from what ive seen so far. Yet it don't happen in CSGO or Skyrim?

Any help much appreciated!

Anything showing in event viewer? Ive had something similar to this, turned out it was a faulty display cable and it was just losing signal for a split second. Maybe something to consider.

@C6ckneyGeezer I have the same issue as above with one of my cables as my monitor (a TV) doesn't have DP so I have a converter from HDMI to DP which occasionally does this when on my desktop (but not gaming). So could be a cable/adaptor (if applicable) issue.

So to bump an old thread. I did update to the driver I belive 2 before this current one, current one being 385.41 which came out today and had no issues. I updated today to 385.41, I had a lockup after the install was done and now back to having random black screens.

What's happening? Is it just Nvidia's driver issues? I can see me rolling back to 382.33 again as I can't remember what I was on before today -_-

I get this issue as well, but not all the time. It happens randomly.

It seems every other release is fine. Even now every other release I get the install freeze.

I found the driver archive list, my issues seem to be as follows, if I remember correctly. I think Im gona run DDU and try a total fresh install of the lastest again, wish me luck lol.
