I've had 1080ti SLI for three years and I'd like to buy and use something faster for less than the £1300 I spent on my current and probably best ever (relatively speaking) setup/GPUs. I can throw down £1K on a GPU setup in 2020 and I'd like 50% more fps etc without the deliberate gimping, lack of SLI support from Nvidia. I'm still amazed how good one card is at 4K in World of Warships and both run happily at 1949/5702 in every game that supports SLI with 85-100% usage. Will I get this performance at this price ever again?
Before everyone screams Mgpu/SLI is dead etc it works really well in all the games the turds at Nvidia choose to support and I've had better than 2080ti performance since I bought them.

you probably won't unless AMD pull something out of their arse or announce something blistering fast that will crush nvidia so they will respond with something like the 1080ti again. There's hoping anyway...

Given how well my old 1070SLI setup worked (the majority of my favourites support SLI and work well with it) I’m looking forward to used 1080ti’s dropping to sane price levels so I can get another!

But yes, until Nvidia have some serious competition I wouldn’t hold your breath!

Sure, when next gen comes out I expect. I imagine (hope) the high end single GPU will outperform 1080TI in SLI (if that is what your asking). I also say this as a user with triple 1080Ti's (often use dual and when I can be bothered to tinker with select games using Nvidia inspector triple) as I also hope there will be a solid upgrade path.

Though sounds kinda moot if as your mention that with World of Warship how one card is performing as you want anyways.

I've been thinking about SLI again, but I'd need a new MoBo & PSU so considering the SLI downside it means it wouldn't be worth it. If I've learned anything this past 2 years, it's that the best way to increase current performance is to drop some settings in games that require a boost.
