1080ti undervolting in Afterburner

I'd like to have a crack at undervolting my Gigabyte AORUS 1080ti. However, I'm not exactly sure how the voltage curve works on MSI afterburner. I've googled and found a bunch of people talking about it, but no one actually explains it properly. I'd really appreciate either a link to a good guide or if someone could explain it.
 
Surprising what difference it makes. I can sustain clocks 1 or 2 steps below my max boost that I'd usually drop below due to temps, with much lower voltage and heat.

Yeah, realistically I'm aiming to sustain 1974 without dropping. I often can, but on some more demanding games it can drop to 1949.
