Hi

I have a 1080ti under water in my home server that I use mainly to transcode.
Very occasionally (when I can get steam working) I game on it.

Is there any reason for me to get a 3070 ?

I also got hold of a 1660super...should I pop that in as well as it's for transcoding
Does the software support multiple GPUs? Do you have a GPU bottleneck in your software?

For gaming: a 3070 is 37% faster according to TPU, so if you're currently struggling and it is free, then I guess there's no harm in it. Would I pay a lot of money for one? No and I'd be aiming for a 4070 or higher.

As above, unless the 3070 is totally free, I wouldn't bother going to it from a 1080ti. The 1080ti was a monster for its time, way faster than the next one down the 1080, just like the 4090 stomps all over the 4080.

I'd say 4070 as a start too, maybe even 4070ti if you have that kind of money.
