1080ti vs Gtx 2080.. predictions?

What are your predictions for 1080ti vs GTX 2080?

I'm very much so deliberating whether to try and grab someone's "old" 1080ti rig or make my own 2080 rig?

On one hand, the 2080 should probably be a bit faster and has RTX for the odd games it can support.

On the otherhand, I fear that its RTX power will not be good enough to smash the 60fps barrier given the 2080ti seems to be the only card they demo.

The 11GB RAM on the 1080TI actually makes me feel like it might be a bit more "future proof".



Any thoughts?

I made this choice and bought the RTX 2080/over the GTX 1080ti ... I'm guessing it will trade blows , and unless your at 4k the GPU grunt will run out before VRAM is an issue .at least at my res . I was swayed by the fact its a new architecture plain and simple . progress is progress albeit different and expensive .

The issue I have is... I want to game at 4k. I'm buying a £500-600+ card to game at 4k.
At 1440p, I'd probably have grabbed a 2070 whenever it drops.




How does the VR link connection work? I'm DEFINITELY interested in anything VR related!

Thoughts please?

Not sure if a AMD 1700 cuts it for VR or not...
