Hi all,

Looking for advice on a build that includes a 1080ti please. Budget around £1500 looking to play games such as The Division on ultra setting etc etc blah blah blah. Any help would very much be appreciated thanks.

Hi and welcome,

What bits do you need...OS, keyboard, monitor, mouse, speakers etc.

if you already have a monitor what resolution is it?

Hi Stulid,

Thanks for the reply sir. I have a monitor it's a benq rl something or other that is currently used for console gaming think it's 1080p but tbh I can wait a bit longer to get mouse keyboard and a better monitor as long as I have a good base :)

If the 750w PSU is for SLI then the motherboard doesn't support it.

Also the 7600k is soundly beaten by a 1500X in reviews.

I chose the case out of price, it's a nice looking case, but that is always 1 item down to personal preference, I chose the 750w for overall power of the cpu and gpu, I don't assume people will go sli/crossfire, again that's a personal preference.

Like I said the i7 7700k is too much without upping the budget, a Ryzen at its price/performance is much better for these budgets, I was just trying to make up an intel alternative that fits in with the budget as even the cheapest non pre-order 1080ti as I chose takes up a huge chunk as it is.

And much appreciated sir. It's a shame it has to be the ti but I guess great graphics require a premium and there's not much point going anything under 1440 capabilities it would be an injustice to myself :)

1070/80 would've fit the bill, but that would only be useful to you if you wanted Intel as the 7700k would fit the budget then

people bang on about frame rates regardless, either people are fussy and not happy or theres an hardware/driver issue, if i remember from a post or review, the 980ti was good for 1440 and the 1080 is better, people are pushing 4k with the 1080 and some with the 1070 with decent/good frames, so id have thought 1440 be easier?.

when it comes to youtube videos you have to bare in mind when it was uploaded as like i said some of those couldve had driver issues resorting in their not so happy experience that by now might have been resolved.

but again thats only if you want intel as other than the titans, the 1080ti will be the ideal solution if its in budget and wanting maximum performance, you just need to make sure your monitor has display port or use the dvi adapter included.
