Hey guys, I got my 10850K with Z2490 MSI EDGE WIFI and I just wanted to know.
After Stress on AIDA64 and RealBench I Got a max package = 150@175W of TDP. Using the Prime95 that I know is unrealistic and I got maximum 253W.

MCE is activated and looking videos on youtube a Guy called Nexus told about the problem when your Motherboard put more than 250W. In my case is beating 250W only with MCE and 4800MHZ all cores.

Temperatures is like 72@75 maximum on Real Bench and AIDA64. I use MSI AIO 240R.

Everything is normal then?

That’s a lot of wattage for 4.8GHz all core.

If your thermals are ok. It should be fine. But running the chip at those TDP envelope for long period you will see degradation pretty quickly.

Hi,

Err, normal in the sense that it's how these chips are made to perform but definitely not normal because up to 300-watt power consumption on the CPU only is extremely high load and you need either super high water cooling or some ices to chill that furnace - this is the Intel's version of Bulldozer FX-9590.

Prime95 is just fine - other apps show the same load.

Speaking better,

RealBench or AIDA64 are beating 164W and in games 150W. Just in prime95 that I could see 250W because Prime95 is unrealistic putting a lot of desnecessary voltage.
So, at this point, all the cores using 164W average in all the bench's, EXCEPT PRIME 95 that was 253W, is everything okay then?

And thanks for answer my post, I really appreciate!

It is normal for these 10 series CPU's my 10850K is the same. There all he same. For example I was testing some BCLK overclock and hits 200w and 80°C on Intel burn test. Prime hit 250w+ and Gaming 125w-150w.

Intel burn test with HWInfo64 on if you want to check out package power. BCLK 102 CPU on CPU Ratio 50. Besides they have a warranty for three years ,if three years goes by and you still have the 10850K,well I know I will not have mine 100% sure of that.

BCLK 5100Mhz 200W
PC game 125W-150W 5200Mhz

Thank you so much , Sr Gerard!
I think is not worth right now make an overclock. Everything works perfect and I should make but is strange how the processor use in game and in applications like Cinebench or Blend. I mean, I could make an overclock because I just play video-games but I'm really fine with that thing running 4800MHZ all cores also I don't have an excellent water cooler that is from MSI AIO 240R MAG. I needed to change for MSI AIO 360R MAG if I wanted something serious running 5.1 or 5.0 all cores.

Here is a picture of my computer just in case if you guys have an idea, but I tried before and I don't have a good case or water cooler to make this beast works at 5.0 or 5.1 with good temps.

I am using a $40USD CPU cooler. Same as yours (mine cheap 240MM)and your 4800Mhz is fine ,with RTX 30xx card at 4K there will be no real difference in FPS in PC games even at high CPU clocks.
