So have a 5800x on pre-order which may turn up one day in the mythical future.

See the 10900kf is on a black Friday deal for £449.

I held back on intel for Ryzen but now wondering whether to get the 10900kf and at least get my build done.

Is the 10900kf same performance wise as the 10900k but just without integrated gfx?

Forget it after all that OcUK have just taken it off and despite it showing as 10+ available its showing as no longer available.

What on earth are they playing at

I'm looking at getting the 10900kf and a new motherboard.

When playing at UHD it makes no difference.
It's the GPU that counts.

I think AMD is sending out a bunch of them soon. Europe seems to have some stock showing now. Like parts are showing dates of delivery or wait 3-5day etc as opposed to “out of stock”.

Good things come to those who wait.

maybe try and not go for an OEM i think they will pre tested for SP quality...
OEM also have much shorter warranty. I'd only worry about getting lower performance if you're buying from a seller that also sells "binned" chips.
The Oem chips are meant for prebuild systems and for whatever reason end up being sold on the open market

My 10900KF takes lower voltage and clocks higher than the 10900K that I also have. so it looks like KF's are just as good SP quality of KF 68 vs 63 for the K both hit 5ghz all cores 5ghz uncore just the KF can do it with lower temps.

I got a retail 10700k sp 51, can do 5ghz easy enough, just trying to break 5.1ghz demands 1.45V, so I lost out big style

Just in case this comes up again.

chances of getting a 5.1ghz bin @ 1.37v (all-core).

10900k = 21% chance
10900kf = 24% chance.

Therefore if you don’t need the iGPU, go for a KF.
