ok guys,

Ive read through countless posts about which software gives a true temperature reading, however....

1090T seems HOT! if people are going off the CPU temp in HWMonitor.

ie.

I have water cooling, and on default settings (3.2ghz / 3.6ghz turbo core) its already sitting at 40c+ while idle at just 3.2ghz.

this is darn hot! for such a low idle speed and water cooling setup.

yet...

if it is the Core-temps that we look at in AMD Overdrive etc, they are nicely sitting at 3.2ghz idle at just 25c or so.

CPU Temp (TMPIN0 or TMPIN1) are the correct temps.

The Core Temps are just software generated guestimates.

If you are idling at 40C on stock i'd suggest reseating your cooling as that seems rather high. I idle at about 30C on a H50-1 @ 3.6GHz.

i'd believe the bios over anything else.

coretemp, hwmonitor etc all show my cpu as beeing 5-8c cooler than my bios claims

well, ive been told to not trust the Cpu Temp as thats a sensor under the CPU Socket on the board, and its the cores that are being cooled.

so, now i dont know what to think.

i have water cooling, its currently idleing at 37c but the cores are at 23c

i only have CPU and TMPIN2 and TMPIN2 is at 130c so i dont think that is accurate of anything.

and im at 3.6ghz currently, at less voltage than AMD's turbo core usually uses (1.35 instead of 1.47)

so, it should be freezing.
