Just been a generous soul and given a good friend who is struggling on with a 1st gen I7 my backup x299 setup, mobo RAM, 1200W PSU minus case and cooler. Any half decent recommendations for an air-cooler or something easy for him to install?

I don't know where you'd find benchmarks for it though, because of the age of the socket.
