Hey guys,

I was just doing a clean install of windows onto my system and thought I would re-download 10bit uninstaller, I find it useful especially when it can clean up the left over bits.

So anyway when I downloaded that it came with an system care program by the same devs, I didn't have this before so I presume its new.

My question here is, is any of it actually worth having?

It has all sorts of features on it ranging from anti-malware to a driver updater tool (similar to PSI Secunia (seemed to find more than Secunia did!)) to a defragger tool and so on.

What are your takes on this? If its any good it does seem like a great piece of software as its an all in one maintenance tool, something people are no doubt going to love.

when ever I do a clean install I don't bother with anything extra to do driver updates or to clean programs out.

I find for maintaining my system (windows 7 64 bit) that disk clean up removes any left over crap from windows update and any other folders.

I get my gpu drivers from the NVidia website and I do the same with my motherboard drivers and that keeps everything up to date.

I find extra programs that do this for you pointless as its easy to do yourself and stops clogging up your system with extra programs.

once they are all downloaded stick the drivers on a USB stick in case they are needed after a new install and will make life easier.

Yea I see what your saying. I actually do what youve just said typically but ive grown a little fond of 10bit uninstaller due to the fact that it does remove a lot more than any other uninstaller ive yet to use. It also gives you the option to shred the files which can be useful.

However the new 'all in one' kind of software has me questioning is it any good. Frankly if it is then its a lot easier to rely upon a program to monitor my drivers and all that other stuff than me having to manually download stuff all the time. Also its not like were in an age where this kind of stuff is a huge hinderance to todays machines unless your on a very old rig.
