finally got the guts to mod my 7900GT...

did the 1.3v on GPU, and 2.2v on RAM mods.

running it at 658/998:

and processor/RAM (though these have little effect on my scores):

And with those clocks I got this score :

*is happy*

ok! ok!.. so I cheated and didn't run the CPU tests! shuddup! :p

well... I'm happy anyways :P

yeah.. there's loads dotted about.. just do a search for '7900GT volt mod'

there's all sorts of complicated shizz people want to try...

but i'll show the mods i've done (Uber-easy)

For these, just use conductive Ink, or solder the connections shown by the yellow lines...

1.4v on the GPU:

1.55v on the GPU:

The RAM mod, pencil this resistor down to ~553 Ohms (initial is ~608) which'll give 2.2v on the RAM:

and finally...

A nice big Pic to show where everything is (and where to measure the voltages from )

The problem i had was getting the guts to do this (my first Vmod on a GFX) though it's nice and easy, so tis a good place to start :)

Many people are saying that the Vcore mod is all you need... but i wanted the extra RAM speed...

decent cooling is a MUST however... some people are doing the 1.4v with stock cooling, but I wouldn't risk it... i'm on watercooling, and if you do the vDimm mod, you'll need some RAMsinks...

hope that helps anyone looking to do what I did
