Thinking ahead for this years upgrade , Im puzzled about this GPU boost stuff , specifically on the 1155 Asus boards but generally to across the boards . Im running an 560ti 2gb . My question is because it seems unclear how this works .
Does the onboard graphics work to a point then there is a switch over , Say for example when you load a game when needs is greater .
Or does it compliment and kinda work in a sort of crude crossfire , sli setup together giving increased gaming FPS and smoother performance ?
I also have a 775 board that has onboard graphics , but that is disabled when you add a card , so its one or the other in case of the old 775 board , are the 1155"s or other new generation boards this kinda setup ?

Yeah I guess i was kinda referring to the Z68 boards as those are the ones iv been reading up on , not sure if that does apply to the newer 2010 , and 1366 new chipsets .
Would it give, basically a roundabout way of the equivalent of a graphics card upgrade ?

Yeah thanks Rizo , was reading up all that , Sadly no great shake"r , Was Hoping it would be a cheapskate backdoor way of gaining a Graphics boost without upgrading the card .
