Been having trouble with two high-end GPUs I bought. Started a thread on here and general consensus was to RMA cards. After getting one returned with no fault, I'm left wondering if problem is with my mobo however that is where I'm stuck. I currently have a P67 chipset 1155 socket mobo and am I right in thinking that since they are now end of line I'd either need to source a 2nd hand one, or buy a new one but that in itself would mean I'd also need to upgrade my CPU yeah? As my i5-2500K would be a different socket.

I've got all latest drivers etc so either leaves mobo or PSU at fault. Got my eye on the MM for 2nd had ones but not having my luck.

What is the make and model of your PSU and the model motherboard your currently using.

If your running 2 high end gpu's I would suggest a psu more like 850w or higher I would personally go for a 1000w to be safe. But a 650w is to low.

I bought two cards, but am only running one in my computer at one time as one is AMD whilst other is Nvidia. I'm selling the AMD one though.

More info would be useful What model is the Corsair 650w psu? What are the graphics cards? It's pointless telling us high end gpu without telling us the models. Have you updated the motherboard to the latest bios? This can fix gpu/motherboard incompatibilities.

It's just a modular Corsair 650W PSU, not sure on model number. R9 290 and a GTX 970 are cards in question. I have latest drivers for both mobo and card(s), although last mobo drivers were released in 2012!

Since getting the 970 back, I've yet to experience the issues I was getting pre-rma despite not making any changes to my computer so will see how it goes.
