1155 sata just failed hdd not recognised already?

need some help, yesterday i had some fails on my hdd when trying to record in fraps etc, i thought it was the video card as the drivers crashed, i think they are installed on my hdd along with most of my other programs, i use my ssd as a boot drive in sata 6. just trying to convert a dvd now and i got a complete system crash and freeze and not the hdd has dissapeared.

i know asus, gigabyte and msi have returns in place but what about foxconn?

Its only the sata-II ports that are affected on channels 2-5. Channels 0-1 and sata6 are not affected by this.

There is no SATA6 on the Intel chipset.

They are numbered 0-5.

0-1 are safe to use. 2-5 are the problem ports.

sorry i havent written it properly, i dont mean sata 6 as a number, i mean like sata II and sata III, i have the foxconn mini itx so it only has 3 ports, my ssd is fine which is in the sata II port? strange, the dvd drive and hdd are in the two sata III ports, and the hdd failed today and wouldnt show up in windows, ive swapped the hdd and dvd sata cables round and theyre both working now?

I think you have the SATA II and SATA III mixed up?

i thought i did but apparently not, there is 1 sata II port and 2 sata III on the board, so my ssd is in the port which should be affected, and the two with the hdd and dvd shouldnt, so there is another problem.
