Hi due to needing to change Mobo I have been looking about for a replacement. Sure it's old tech but all I can afford right now, can anyone recommend a decent mobo for me, CPU is 2600 I7.
I have been looking at Asus P8 board, the deluxe looks good, I have kinda become fixated on the Asus boards and feel I could be missing out on other decent boards by not really researching them
I'll be buying 2nd hand unless I can find a reasonably priced new one. I can't access the forum classifieds so that's no option as yet.

Pc is light gaming and a little photoshop, solid works.
Case is ATX

Thanks in advance
Steve

Don't pay over the odds for a board. Your best bet is second hand now. The Gigabyte Z77X-D3H was a good solid board. The Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 was also a decent board. Don't confine yourself to one brand as you are missing out on some good boards from other brands.

I've had the AsRock z77 Extreme 4 for 3 years and had no problems with apart from slightly dodgy fan control in BIOS. Despite that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Got a P8Z77-V LX myself and love it to bits. Does everything exceedingly well, temps stay low and not a single problem with the reassembly. If anything, it's bloody easy to work on and seems well thought out for those obssessed by cable-routing!

I'd personally prefer the look of an armoured board, but that's just me.
