just read about 1180 being a pascal refresh can this be true?.

for the ASUS ROG STRIX 1180 online. Interesting as Reddit user samcuu who posted this claims this is a reputable store, he does not see a reason for them to be fooling around.

So basically the shop claims the card will be in stock on September 28th and would be a 12nm based Pascal respin with faster graphics memory(GDDR6) tagged as Turing (GT104). Notice that the 3584 CUDA cores listed are a similar amount to the 1080 Ti, and that thus hints at a Pascal respin at 12nm.

  • GPU: GT104
  • 3584 CUDA cores
  • Memory type: GDDR6 Micron - new architecture
  • Size: 16GB
  • Memory BUS: 256-bit
  • Memory Speed: 14.0 Gbps
The preorder price is listed at only ~$1530 (I know). The photos that have been posted along with the listing DEFINITELY are photoshopped. Make if this what you will. Have a peek, and I'll just leave this for what it is, likely clickbait, albeit the specs really wouldn't surprise me to be real as it is confirming what we've been saying all along. A Pasc

Can this thread be closed.

It is the same topic as all the others dealing with the next gen of NVidia cards.

To answer the question, no the next gen of NVidia cards won't be the same as Pascal as the Titan V is already available and in certain areas is very different.

nVidia recently put out a load of material celebrating Turing (birthday 23rd June) which has fuelled speculation that will be their next architecture - whether that is true or not is another matter.

That pre-order listing is nothing more than a placeholder from the guy updating his shop ready for the new stuff to land.

The only thing that can be taken from it is one of two things: 1, the new cards are landing soon after all or 2, it's a monumental troll by the shop guy and should be ignored.
