My Motherboard is a Asus p6t Deluxe version 1
was with 6gb Gskill 10666 nq ram,

Now tried adding another 6

Hi i have just installed 12gb ram on friday i already had 6 and i cant get my board to detect all 12gb max it will pick up is 10gb i tried them all in different sockets incase was the ram i figured since that they are all fine

It seems to be when i use socket A2 that it shows my memory as 8gb when all 6 banks are filled yet when have 5 filled excluding A2 it shows 10 this is same even if try 8gb 4 bars 3 being in a1 b1 and c1 and 4th being in a2 then it shows that i have 4gb

Its as if when i put anythin in that slot in subtracts 2gb instead off adds

I have read quite few forums and found its a common issue which is a worry

Any help will be helpfull

Also can you run smoothly with 10gb ram for triple channel
