Not sure if this is a good idea or not, but how about a body cam? Record what they do and then get them done for at least Intimidation and harassment. Also, I would definitely contact the local MP and explain what is going on.

It just bad parenting. Anyone born after 2000 just think they are entitled. Parents probably think they are little angles when they are out. At that age my dad was taking me fishing or going on holiday with mum and dad not going round terrorising a whole town or village as said its happening all over surrounding villages too. Yes at 14 or 15 we did use to cruise round in my brother car who was 16 or his friends but we knew our boundaries and never use to harass other for sake it.

There wasn’t much to do when I was a teenager in the 1980s. Youth clubs had shut, Scouts was dead boring; so hanging about the local park drinking, smoking and being somewhat annoying, but generally harmless was the usual pastime between school ending and the non-negotiable (for me anyway) time at which I must be seated at the family dining table having changed out of school clothes.

Of course, had we decided to terrorise the neighbourhood to a level that the local beat bobby couldn’t sort out with a few boxed ears, the world would have been suddenly full of blue lights and wooded truncheons.

The other significant encouragement to not be a little scrote was that there were still apprenticeships which could see you on your way earning a decent wage and eventually having your own home. Even the thickest of rural thickos could hold down a manual labour job that would pay a living wage back then if they turned up on time and worked hard.

Both that stick and that carrot don’t exist now for those born after 2010.

Society can’t threaten you with “you’ll never have nice things unless you straighten your life out” when they odds are very much against that now even if you tow the line unless you get lucky or the Bank of Mum & Dad can set you up.

TLR - If I was 15 years old in a dying Home Counties town with almost zero prospects and parents who couldn’t give a monkey’s about me, I’m fairly sure I’d be out doing whatever I wanted and causing a fair bit of bother.

You couldn’t even make a new series of Bad Lad’s Army these days and said Lads were all paid volunteers for the show and the motivational techniques shown were tame compared to the real deal of the 1950s Army.

We cant even defend our selves with out proof off CCTV. One person told me it happened to them one time a few years back. They punched his girlfriend and started on him. when he challenged them they backed off abit but one decided to go a head and hit him. Then he beat the crap out of all 5 14 year olds. Next day he was in police station as they reported him and only got off from CCTV showing them ganging up on him until then he was guilty until proven and probably having a criminal record beating on minors if there wasnt proof.
