So I have £120 and am looking at buying a new graphics card.

I currently play at 1280x1024 and run a Phenom II [email protected] which I am unable to unlock.

I'd like it to last me quite a while, 3 years if possible.

If I was to wait another week I will have around £140 to spend, so is it advised I wait it out?

Cheers guys.

Go for a Radeon 5850 now or save a little (but maybe have to be quick) and get a NVIDIA 480, it is a really good price and will last a couple of years at least.

At the res you are gaming a 5850 will do you fine, providing you don't wish to upgrade your monitor anytime soon.

I have the same CPU and have unlocked to a 3 core and clocked to 3.6GHz without touching voltage. I can run most games on full candy and games runs nice ans smooth.

It's a good time to buy at the moment, the 5850 and GTX480 both offer fantastic value at their respective price points (the 5850 is in your budget and will last you 3 years easy).
