1200£ Build (Need help, new to gaming)

Hey guys, I am starting PC gaming and have finally been able to save up 1200£ for a gaming PC. Would it be possible for you to help me chose the specs for the PC ? Is it better to self-build or buy pre-built ? How hard is it to self-build ?

Would it be possible to include a monitor in the build ? Thank you. I want to be able to play all modern games at decent fps....thanks!
